2. Senior Server Administrator

Summary of Functions:  Provides leadership in the recommendation, development, configuration, installation, administration and optimization of the County’s server hardware and software for the County’s server-based computer systems.  Ensures the availability of all server-based and web-based applications, and the ability of County’s users to logon to a functioning computer daily. Provides a stable and technologically relevant server and storage environment. Assists in overseeing the physical security and integrity of server locations and installations.

Education, Experience and Training: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or in a job related field of study. Four (4) years of related work experience in Information Technology and experiencing with Novell and Windows servers and operating systems.

Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have a broad spectrum of server skills and knowledge. 3. Senior Systems Analyst

Information Technology Services

Summary of Functions:  Assists technical support and development staff to assist throughout the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) as needed. Contributes to and/or reviews documentation surrounding requirements, technical design, and process flows. Applies and executes standard business systems analysis and system development theories, concepts and techniques and assists in the development and maintenance of standards and procedures. Interacts with architects and designers and participates in software design review. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing, to support application systems.

Education, Experience and Training: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or in a job related field of study. Four (4) years of work related experience in systems analyses with multiple programming languages, multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, and database management systems.

Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have a working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts. Experience with Criminal Justice systems preferred. Knowledge of and a familiarity with current operating systems, advanced server troubleshooting, basic networking and SQL deployed applications. Experience writing SQL queries including SSRS reports is highly desirable. Must pass a background investigation. Required to be on call at all times. Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience with Cisco network equipment, voice/data communications, network architecture and network protocols, network monitoring and alerting, firewall configuration maintenance, software updates, network traffic management and QoS configuration, DMZ configuration and management. Four (4) years of related work experience in a large enterprise systems environment; using Oracle platform, SQL and PL/SQL skills.

Summary of Functions:  Designs, develops and supports the implementation of enterprise integration architecture based on business requirements and the design and support of middleware/integration solutions leveraging Microsoft BizTalk.  Responsible for complex multi-tiered integration architecture by understanding workload, incident situations, and priorities.  Recognizes inadequate or inefficient systems: provides input into alternatives that reduce cost or increase efficiencies.  Ensures internal controls are achieved in compliance with policies and standards.  Monitors the construction of project deliverables as technical lead for projects or other assignments.

Management Scope:  Leads and directs the work of exempt and non-exempt staff.

Education, Experience and Training: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college our university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration or in a job related field of study.  Seven (7)  years’ experience in BizTalk integration architecture/engineering, including four (4) years architecture experience in the design and/or implementation of storage, network, server, middleware, and database infrastructure; experience leading technical teams with or without direct reports; and,  experience translating solution requirements into technical infrastructure requirements.

Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Understanding of application development in both cloud and on-premises hosting models, tradeoffs and integration  architecture  implementation  considerations.  General  understanding  of  operating  system  models (Linux,   Windows),   hardware   architectures,   distributed   computing   architectures,   storage   technology (SAN/NAS/DAS), server virtualization, memory management, networking, system maintenance, disaster recovery, database failover models, database theory and design, security/identity management, authentication and authorization (Kerberos, Tivoli), business intelligence platforms, dashboards, data mining and visualization tools, mobile application development and service integration.

Seven (7) years of professional work related experience in infrastructure architecture/engineering including cross-domain experience and design/implementation of storage, network, server middleware and database infrastructure.
